Library Use Policy: The Indiana University Health Library provides services to the physicians and staff of the hospitals listed on our hospital list. In addition, current patients and their family members are also welcome to use our resources and workstations for research and e-mail during their stay. We are not an open access library. The general public should contact their local public library for consumer medical information.

Collection Information: Indiana University Health Library's collection covers the areas of medicine, nursing, allied health, healthcare management, and computing. The paper collection consists of approximately 2,000 book titles and 680 journal titles. The e-collection, available from any Indiana University Health computer, has approximately 4,700 online databases, e-books and journals.

Borrowing Policy: Staff Physicians and employees with an approved employee/staff identification card may check out books for a four week period, there are no renewals. Residents from Indiana University School of Medicine must be on a list provided to us from Indiana University Health's Medical Staff office. ID must be provide at the time of check-out. At this time, medical students, patients and their families are not allowed to check out materials.

Fax, Photocopy Services and Computer Printing: Staff physicians, employees, patients and patients' families, may use the photocopy and fax machines located in the Indiana University Health Library Photocopy Room, D1421. There is no charge for photocopies made for Indiana University Health business. Dial-out is restricted to local calls only. Library staff will assist you with long distance fax needs.

Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan: Materials which are not owned by Indiana University Health Library can be obtained on loan from other institutions by completing a Document Delivery Request or contacting your Library Representative.
