| What if my hospital is not listed in the drop down box on the registration form? |
The following should apply: MIR = Methodist, IU and Riley, Blackford should use Ball, Paoli should use Bloomington, and Starke should use LaPorte as their designated sites. IU Clinics-Indianapolis, Methodist Occupational Health Centers and the four Beltway locations should use MIR. |
| Why must I be on campus when I register? |
Every computer that accesses the Internet must have an unique IP Address. An IP address is similar to a private phone number such that there is only one number in the entire world that will ring that particular phone. The company who owns Athens has been given the IP's for all the computers in your organization. When you register, Athens will look at the IP address of your computer and associate your registration with your institution. If you are not on a company computer during registration, Athens has no way of knowing if you are authorized to access the library's resources. |
| Can I select an institution other than my own? |
No, Athens associates specific computer IP addresses with your institution. If you register for a location other than the site you are at, you will be told you do not have permission to register. |
| Must I be on a company computer when I respond to the confirmation of registration email? |
No. Once you have filled out the registration form, you no longer need to be on a company computer. You can respond to your e-mail confirmation from any computer. |
| Do I have to download the Toolbar? |
No. The toolbar only makes it easier to log in and log out, navigate between library resources and to manage your Athens account. The library strongly suggests you download this toolbar. |

| Why am I asked to purchase an article even though I am using Athens? |

| Can I access Athens from my Smart Phone or Tablet. |

| Can I log into Athens directly from the Publisher? |
